How do I pair up my phone and Toyota vehicle?

The advances that have been made in the world of technology are incredible. We can now use little devices that fit in our pockets to stay connect with people across town as well as across the globe. These little devices can even talk to our vehicles while we are driving. How do I pair up my phone and Toyota vehicle for this to happen? Keep reading to learn more!

Before you do anything with your phone and vehicle. . .

The absolute first thing you have to do is make sure that you are registered by clicking here. Once you have done this, make sure that you download the Entune App Suite from the App Store. This goes for any kind of phone that you have. You are now ready to pair your phone and Toyota vehicle. We will first walk through how to pair an iPhone, and then an Android.

  1. Make sure that Bluetooth is ON on your phone
    Go to settings > Bluetooth > toggle to ON
  2. Moving over to the screen in your vehicle, push the Setup button
  3. Next, select Bluetooth
  4. Click Add New Device
  5. Choose Make this System Discoverable
  6. Pick Car Multimedia or Car Multimed on your iPhone
  7. You will receive a message on your phone to begin the pairing process
  8. When told, touch Pair on your phone
  9. Touch Accept on your vehicle’s multimedia screen when told
  10. You will then see a confirmation that your phone and vehicle have been paired

Make sure that your phone has paired by testing it out. You may be asked to enter an additional security code. Once everything is set, your phone and vehicle will use Bluetooth, but they will also need a USB connection to use the Entune App.

Pairing your Android to your Toyota vehicle

  1. Make sure that Bluetooth is ON on your phone
    Go to settings > Bluetooth > the box should be checked so that it is on
  2. Select Scan For Devices
  3. On the screen in your vehicle, push the Setup button
  4. Next, select Bluetooth
  5. Click Add New Device
  6. Choose Make this System Discoverable
  7. You will receive a pairing request on your phone, click Accept
  8. A confirmation will show that your device and vehicle have been paired

In order to use the system, make sure that you always open the app on your phone first and double-check that your phone is connected to the Entune App Suite. To do this, click Setup on the screen, choose Bluetooth, then Paired Device List, click your phone, and then Connect. Note that to use Entune, you are using the internet, so data charges might apply.
