The 2021 4Runner is all about off-road performance. Every 4Runner, regardless of trim, has a powerhouse 4.0L V6 that pumps out 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. Each 2021 4Runner (both 4x2 and 4x4) has a max towing capacity of 5,000 lbs when properly equipped. The Venture and all TRD trims also have a locking rear differential, multi-terrain select, and crawl control for heavy-duty off-road use. Those features pair well with the standard 9.6 inches of ground clearance.
The 2021 4Runner has plenty of standard features. For example, every 2021 4Runner has Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, four USB ports, and an 8-inch touchscreen. Each 2021 4Runner also has forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam headlights, and a rearview camera.
