The Toyota Camry is entering its 37th year of production. With almost four decades of refinement under its belt, the 2021 Camry may just be the best Camry model ever made. It sports the most comprehensive standard safety suite ever included on a Toyota, new exterior and interior design elements, and more powertrain options than ever before, all while retaining that signature Toyota reliability and affordability.
Let us show you what the new 2021 Toyota Camry has to offer
For the first time ever, the hybrid powertrain will be offered on the XSE trim, making it now available on a total of four trims: LE, XLE, SE, and XSE. Similarly, the 2021 Toyota Camry will have available Dynamic Torque Control AWD on the LE, XLE, SE, SE Nightshade, and XSE trims. The 2021 Camry comes standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. A 3.5-liter V6 is available on the XLE and XSE trims and standard on the TRD trim. It pumps out 301 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque.
The 2021 Toyota Camry is the first Toyota model to feature the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ standard suite. It keeps everything from the TSS 2.0 suite and improves many already great features. The Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection now has better bicyclist and pedestrian detection, more low-light functionality, and added emergency steering assist. Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control now has full stop-and-go functionality, as well as a highway passing assist function. The Rear Seat Reminder found in the 2020 Toyota Highlander will also be standard for the 2021 Camry.
To go along with the updated exterior, the cabin has gotten a few additions as well. New for 2021 are floating 7- or 9-inch floating touchscreen displays that are crisp, responsive, and easy to navigate. The 2021 Camry features new interior trim too, constructed from linear dark, wood, or patterned metal inlays. Premium soft-touch materials are also found throughout the cabin.
