The Corolla joins the 2021 club! The Corolla is the best-selling car on the planet, with more than 43 million units produced since the first model hit sales lots. Toyota has continuously updated the Corolla, keeping it relevant, stylish, and efficient.
Today, we’ll be taking a look at some of the 2021 Toyota Corolla standard features, like performance specs, safety suite, and infotainment inclusions.
The 2021 Corolla has two different engines: a 1.8-liter four cylinder and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder. The 1.8L engine produces a peppy 139 horsepower. It is found on the L, LE, and XLE Corolla models, where it’s paired with a CVT. The L and LE are rated at 30/38/33 mpg. The XLE is estimated at 29/37/32 mpg. The 2.0L engine is found on the SE, SE Nightshade, and XSE trims. It produces 169 horsepower and is paired with a CVT on the SE Nightshade and XSE models. They get 31/40/34 mpg and 31/38/34 mpg, respectively. The SE comes standard with a six-speed manual (29/36/32 mpg), but can be upgraded to a CVT (31/40/34 mpg).
Every 2021 Toyota Corolla has the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite of safety features. That means, regardless of trim, each 2021 Corolla has the following features: a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, lane-departure alert with steering assist and lane tracing assist, automatic high beams, and road sign assist. There are some other available driver assistive features too, such as blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
The 2021 Corolla is packed with features. Infotainment-wise, every Corolla has a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, Bluetooth capability, SiriusXM radio, an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot, and access to Toyota Connected Services. Numerous upgrades are available, including a bigger 8-inch touchscreen, a nine-speaker JBL premium audio system, integrated navigation, and Toyota Remote Connect services.
