Slotting between the Toyota RAV4 and the Toyota Highlander, the all-new 2021 Toyota Venza represents new ground for Toyota. It’s available in three trims: LE, XLE, and Limited. No matter the trim you pick, you’ll get a vehicle that’s chock-full of features.
Today, we’ll go over the powertrain, safety features, and the infotainment suite on the 2021 Toyota Venza. Here’s what you can expect from the brand-new addition to the Toyota lineup.
The 2021 Toyota Venza may look familiar to some. That’s because it’s based on the Toyota Harrier, a popular crossover available outside the States. Unlike the Harrier, though, the 2021 Venza only has a hybrid AWD powertrain. It combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a three electric motors. Together, they produce 219 horsepower. Excellent fuel mileage compliments that power, with EPA estimates clocking in at 40/37/39 mpg on all Venza models.
The 2021 Venza has the complete Toyota Safety Senseâ„¢ 2.0 (TSS 2.0) suite of safety features. That means that every model of Venza has a pre-collision system, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, automatic high beams, and road sign assist. Other standard safety aides include blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines.
The 2021 Verza comes standard with excellent connectivity features. Each 2021 Venza has Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa compatibility. SiriusXM satellite radio is also standard. All infotainment features are controlled via the standard 8-inch touchscreen. A 12.3-inch touchscreen (the same one found on the Toyota Highlander) is also available on the 2021 Venza. Integrated navigation and a premium nine-speaker JBL stereo come with the improved touchscreen. Also available are a 7-inch multi-informational gauge display and a 10-inch heads-up display.
