Each 2020 Toyota 4Runner is powered by a high-displacement 4.0-liter V6. It produces 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque. The max towing capacity is 5,000 lbs. All non-TRD models have RWD standard and 4WD available. TRD models only have 4WD. When it comes to moving cargo, the 2020 4Runner has lots of space inside the cabin. Behind the second row there’s 47.2 cu-ft. Fold down those seats and that space almost doubles to 90 cu-ft.
The SR5 is the base trim for the 2020 4Runner. It has cloth upholstery and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. The steering wheel is leather wrapped. Infotainment-wise, it has an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, Bluetooth, HD and satellite radio, voice recognition, smartphone-linked navigation, and a USB charging/input port. The SR5 also has a bunch of safety features. Forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, lane departure warning, and a rearview camera are all standard.
The SR5 Premium trim ups the comfort and convenience levels from the SR5. The cloth seats are switched out for SofTex synthetic leather upholstery. Heated front seats also help with those chilly fall and cold winter days. The manually-adjustable passenger seat is upgraded to a four-way power-adjustable one. Integrated navigation, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a universal garage door opener.
