Toyota Vehicles with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are highly sought-after features. Considering the ubiquity of smartphones, this comes as no surprise. Being able to use your smartphone apps with little-to-no distraction is a huge plus for drivers, passengers, and everyone else on the road. For some prospective customers whether a vehicle has smartphone compatibility can be a deal-breaker. Whether a vehicle can pair with the customer’s phone can also be a deciding factor. Naturally, this all leads to the question:
Do Toyota cars have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto?
How to Pair Your Phone to Your Toyota via Bluetooth
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with Toyota Entune
Thanks to the Toyota Entune multimedia manager, all 2020 Toyota vehicles (except the Land Cruiser) have Apple CarPlay. However, push-to-talk compatibility only works on the following 2020 models: 4Runner, C-HR, Camry, Corolla Hatchback, Highlander, RAV4, Sequoia, Tacoma, and Tundra. Only a few 2020 Toyota models have Android Auto support, though. They are the 4Runner, Sequoia, Tacoma, and Tundra. Any phone with Bluetooth capability can pair with any new Toyota vehicle, however, so you can listen to your favorite music, podcasts, or audiobooks no matter what.
What can Entune do without my smartphone?
The Entune App Suite gives you access to multiple apps native to your Toyota. It has a destination search feature that any user of Google Maps or Apple Maps will feel at home with. Additionally, iHeartRadio, Yelp, and Slacker Radio are all available for use without connecting to a smartphone.
